Modifying a Printer File

  1. From any IntelliDealer screen, click on the Administration tab.

    The Administration Quick Links screen will appear.

  2. From the Settings list, click on the Utilities link.

  3. The Utilities screen will appear.

  4. On the Utilities screen, click on the Configure Printer Files link.
    The Configure Printer Files screen will appear.

  5. On the Configure Printer Files screen, fill out the appropriate fields and click on the Go >> link.
    The Configure Printer Files screen will refresh listing the generated search results.

  6. Click on a Printer File.
    The Printer File screen will appear.

  7. On the Printer File screen, you can modify/override default parameter values for any of the following parameter fields.

    • Printer: The name of the printing device selected. A printing device can be a printer or an output queue.

    • Printer Device Type: The type of printing device used to create the printer file.

    • Page Size - Length - Lines Per Page: The amount of lines per page.

    • Page Size - Width - Position Per Line: The amount of characters per line.

    • Characters Per Inch: The amount of characters per inch (CPI). The larger the number the smaller the font.

    • Lines Per Inch: Allows you to indicate the number of printed lines that will appear per inch on a printed document. The higher the number the more detailed and sharper the document.

    • Print Quality: The printer output print quality for the corresponding file.

    • Source Drawer: Indicates the printer drawer used to supply the paper for the selected print job.

    • Font - Identifier: The font that is used with this printer file.

    • Font - Point Size: Specifies the font point size used with this printer file.

    • Coded Font: The name of the coded font.

    • Coded Font Library: The name of the library that contains the coded font.

    • Coded Font Point Size: The coded font point size.

    • Degree of Rotation: Allows the user to specify the degree of rotation for the text on the page, printing either landscape or portrait.

    • Print on Both Sides: Whether the output is printed on one side or both sides (duplex) of the paper.

    • Front Side Overlay: The name of the front side overlay you wish to use.

    • Front Side Overlay Library: The name of the library that contains the overlay.

    • Front Side Overlay Offset Down: The offset down value identifying the point of origin to begin printing the overlay.

    • Front Side Overlay Offset Across: The offset across value identifying the point of origin to begin printing the overlay.

    • Back Side Overlay: The name of the back side overlay you wish to use.

    • Back Side Overlay Library: The name of the library containing the overlay.

    • Back Side Overlay Offset Down: The offset across value identifying the point of origin to begin printing the overlay.

    • Back Side Overlay Offset Across: The offset across value identifying the point of origin to begin printing the overlay.

    • Spooled Output Queue: The name of the output queue the spooled file will be stored before being printed.

    • Spooled Output Queue Library: The name of the library containing the spooled output queue.

    • Copies: The number of copies to be printed every time the corresponding printer file is used.

    • Hold Spooled File: Indicates whether the spooled file is held before printing.

    • Save Spooled File: Indicates whether the spooled file is saved after printing.

  8. Click the Save button to save any changes made to the printer file.

    Click the Save & Next button to save any changes made to the printer file and continue to the next printer file on the list.
